Suburban Golf Club, Inc. is a non-profit membership corporation of approximately 400 members. It has an 18-hole golf course designed by the famed architect A.W.Tillinghast, situated within the township of Union, Union County, New Jersey. It lies near the intersection of the Garden State Parkway, U.S. Route 22, and New Jersey Route 82 and is approximately 15 miles from Times Square, New York City. The elevation of the Club House is 80 feet above sea level. It is adjacent to the hummocks, a natural water basin and source for the Elizabeth River. Its entrance is on Morris Avenue, which historically is the main road from Elizabeth to Morristown.
The present course layout was designed in 1922.The fairways and greens are well trapped, and surrounded by many stately indigenous trees.
Suburban Golf Club's original logo, to the left, exemplifies the Club's philosophy "to bridge friendship." The Club has been, and will always be, a haven from the anxieties and pressure of everyday life for individuals from all walks of life.
