Mark McCormick

Head Professional


Since 1999, Mark McCormick has served as the Head Golf Professional of Suburban Golf Club.

While achieving his undergraduate degree, Mark was a member of the Men’s Golf Team at Montclair State University, coached by New Jersey PGA Hall of Fame member, Peter Famiano. Mark turned professional in 1988 and has been a member of the PGA of America since 1992. In 2017, he was recognized as a Quarter Century Club PGA Member.

In addition to overseeing daily golf operations, tournaments and programs at SGC, Mark has triumphed on the national stage. In 2012, he qualified and competed in the U.S. Open at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA. In 2017, he also qualified and competed in the U.S. Senior Open at Salem Country Club in Peabody, MA. The 2008 New Jersey State Open winner has also competed in several national PGA Professional Championships and three consecutive Senior PGA Professional Championships.

Paul has over 21 years of teaching experience, the last 14 years at Suburban. Paul is a Certified US Kids Instructor as well as a Double-Goal Coach Certified through the Positive Coaching Alliance.
